The Sage being fully aware that 'Love' and 'hate' are both based on what the 'other' has done, and therefore really do not exist, lives his daily life - sometimes pain, sometimes pleasure - as something supposed to happen according to the Cosmic Law. His relationship with the 'other' is therefore always harmonious, and this leads to his own constant peace of mind.
